Cross-Professional Marketing Opportunity TWL has worked for the past year to develop a strategic plan for the WE Network, build the Network's infrastructure, plan its first "Working Women" community event, design the WE Network website, and invite Community Partners and their members to join. Now, you can create a personalized WE Network profile through this WE Network website. Creating your profile will make you a part of the WE Network's online member search. Every WE Network member, lawyer and non-lawyer alike, can be located by name or by the specific professional services he or she offers. WE Network Launches Working Women Series
On July 13, 2010, the WE Network held its first "Working Women Series" event. WE Network members held a 2-hour workshop for Refuge House clients focused on "Transitioning Women into the Workforce". The workshop was led by WE Network member Christy Crump of Administrative Professional Services & Solutions, LLC, a local Administrative Professional expert with 25 years' experience. Attendees learned tips on successful interviewing, as well as proper telephone etiquette, dress and conduct for the work environment. After enjoying a dinner provided by the WE Network and the Foundation's grant, attendees participated in exercises reinforcing the tools taught. At its conclusion, appreciative attendees posed legal questions to the WE Network members who attended. Many attendees expressed that the event personalized the professional world for them, and that they look forward to more opportunities for women to support other working women in our community. Many thanks to Refuge House and our WE Network members who made this first Working Women community event such a success! For questions or to get more involved in future WE Network community events, contact Gigi Rollini at: Tallahassee Woman Magazine Promotes WE Network
With many thanks to Heather Thomas, the WE Network's launch got attention in the June/July 2010 issue of Tallahassee Woman Magazine. |
